About CUT

CUT is a 45 minutes staged musical work, inspired by different interpretations of 'cut' - as a concept, its implementations, emotional significance and technical characteristics. Each of Cut's eight episodes tells the story of a different cut, creating a sequence in which the formal context, dramatic flow and even applied technique are 'Cut driven'. The amplified instrumental sound is occasionally cut into very short samples (down to 60 milliseconds) before it is given a new shape and played back to the audience.
